Grays Athletic are pleased to announce the signings of forwards Joe Gardner and Tom Stagg.
Lewis Dark has strengthened his squad for the final four weeks of the season by securing the services of winger Gardner and young centre forward Stagg.
The experienced Gardner, 32, joins from Hullbridge having previously played for Bowers & Pitsea, Braintree Town, Bishops Stortford and Heybridge Swifts. He also had a number of seasons of success with Concord Rangers.
Speaking to the club after signing Joe had this to say:" I'm really happy to join the club. I've played with and known the manager and a lot of the players for a number of years - so hopefully I can fit straight in and help the club push for the last part of the season. It's already been a great effort. Let's hope we can finish the season just as strong!"
Stagg came through the ranks at Colchester United and made his first team debut in 2021. During his time with the U's he had loan spells at clubs including Hashtag United, Maldon & Tiptree and Billericay Town. After leaving last year, Tom has played in the Isthmian Premier League for Cray Wanderers and Wingate & Finchley.
Speaking to the club after signing Tom had this to say: "I’m really pleased to have signed for Grays, it’s a club with great aspiration and ambition. I am hoping to bring my attacking presence to the team to help the team get over the line and get that well deserved promotion spot. I look forward to seeing the fans out there Saturday for a massive game ! #COYB
The club extends a warm welcome to Joe and Tom and we hope they enjoy their time with The Blues.
