The Club were waiting for the relevant paperwork to be complete and for Paul to be registered before making it ‘official’. Standing at 6’3”, Olima can play either as a centre-back or up front.
Olima started his career in Ireland with St Patrick’s Athletic although failed to make an appearance, before moving to England joining Southern League Division One South & West club Taunton Town in September 2006 following an unsuccessful trial with League One outfit Scunthorpe United.
Subsequently he went on to join Football League clubs Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge, but failed to make an appearance for either and was only used in the Daggers’ reserve team. Olima went on to join Waltham Forest in September 2007, where he made a total of nine appearances, scoring two goals in all competitions before moving onto Arlesey Town in December.
He went on to have stints at Tilbury, Grays Athletic, Walton Casuals, Croydon Athletic and Hitchin Town before signing for Conference South side Thurrock at the start of the 2009/10 season. However, Olima then switched to Lewes where he scored four goals in 13 appearances before returning to Thurrock in January 2010.
In his previous spell at Grays Ath (under Wayne Burnett) between November 2008 and January 2009, Olima made two appearances – in the 7-0 Essex Senior Cup win over Maldon Town and in the 2-0 FA Cup First Round Replay defeat in November 2008. He was also an unused sub against Ebbsfleet United and Burton Albion in January 2009.
Earlier this year in July, the 25-year old signed for Isthmian Premier League outfit Kingstonian, before switching to Walton & Hersham in October.
