Following the departure of Aaron Best in pre-season Blues manager Mark Bentley was on the look out for a replacement right back to fill the gap. Mark describes how Luke was selected to join the squad

" I Was obviously on the look out for a right back so after numerous calls I spoke to the manager of Wealdstone who had two RBs on trial. One being Luke, a young lad who fell out of love with the game after being released from Wolves. He was playing for Waltham Forest last year and tried to earn a deal at Wealdstone. The feedback was that he did very well but they decided to sign the other trialists. I invited him in and he looked good in training on Thursday night .

With the squad very thin I took a bit of a punt but as fans witnessed at last night's match , he did very well and hopefully he can continue to be a valid member of the squad."
