The club are very pleased to announce that goalkeeper Lamar Johnson has become a contracted player at Grays Athletic.
Lamar joined the Blues in 2011 after spells at Romford and Aveley. Part of the Charlton Athletic youth setup, Johnson also played for Thurrock’s under 18’s and their reserve side, before switching to Canvey based Concord Rangers in 2010.

As has been well stated Lamar was banned by the FA from all football after an incident against Bury Town earlier in the year. That ban is nearly complete and Lamar is looking forward to regaining the No1 spot in goal for the blues.

Following his 9 month ban Lamar will join Tilbury FC on a months loan to regain match fitness.
